Global warming is a serious problem for the whole world. The earth summit held in Brazil generated the global reponse on the deleterious effects of global warming. Also UN secretary-General Ban Ki-moon also delivered a speech at the summit about the importance of international cooperation in efforts to ward off global warming.
But many people don't recognize how serious the situation is. It wasn't untill my studying about ecology that I really became interested the global warming.
Global warming means the Earth is going hotter and hotter. So at the North Pole's ice is going to melt and sea level is rising. It also has reached an all time high. More plants and animals are becoming extinct. To prevent that, sustainable development is the key.
So we must invest in and make use of alternative energies.
for example, we can develop a non-fossil fuels such as solar power. The solar panels will be able to convert the sun's energy into 20 megawatts of electricity without environmental pollution.
